[R] replace NA into - for specific column

Maybe this will help:

proband_crc2<-data.frame(MMR=rep(c(NA,"+"),3))
proband_crc2
proband_crc2$MMR[is.na(proband_crc2$MMR)]<-"-"
proband_crc2
