[R] how do I remove entries in data frame from a vector

Hello,
This is probably because basename keeps the file extension, try instead
filename <- sub("(^[^\\.]*)\\..+$", "\\1", basename(celFiles))
celFiles[!filename %in% as.character(remove$V1)]
