A version of Eric's answer is to use grepl(), which returns a logical vector:
mydata[grepl("ConfoMap", mydata) & grepl("GuineaPigs", mydata)]
with the OR analogue:
mydata[grepl("ConfoMap", mydata) | grepl("GuineaPigs", mydata)]
