Hello every one!
I'm really excited to finally introduce you and the world to "Prelude in R".
www.preludeinR.com
As you might have guessed by the name, this website is designed to give any
person (students, managers, wildlife professionals, etc) the keys to start
learning R, from scratch, using humor, practical examples, and exercises.
If you want to learn or progress in R, and love bad jokes and even worse
puns, that's the place for you!
One of the biggest issues I've seen with introductions to R is how "dry"
they can be. While effective, they can struggle to keep the reader engaged.
More importantly, it can seem esoteric for someone with little to no
experience in coding and stats. This is what I've tried to tackle here. An
introduction in R where you can smile once in a while (if anything at how
ridiculous the jokes are), while providing everything you need to start and
become self-sufficient using R!
Feel free to share this website with anyone that could either get a chuckle
out of it, or find it useful. If you want to use it for classes, go for it!
If you find this site so beautiful you feel the irresistible need to print
it on a canvas, and put it as the centerpiece in your living room...
Well... Send pictures, because I'd love to see that!
If you notice errors, or important things that are missing, let me know!
Cheers everybody, you're awesome!
