[R] using Fortran with R

I don't know about a book.
The best you can do is read Writing R Extensions.
And have a look at packages using Fortran:  nleqslv, geigen, QZ, deSolve, minpack.lm, PEIP
That should give you a good idea how to use Fortran.
There are surely more but these are the ones I know about.
