[R] Bars on stl() plot

   This command produced the attached plot:
dalles.disch.stl <- stl(dalles.disch.no.na, "per")

   There are narrow, vertical, grey bars along the right axis for each plot
and I would like to learn what they represent and where this is documented.

   A pointer is appreciated.
