I have prepared a book to be published in Czech, ‘Biostatistika pro lékaře, 
principy základních metod a jejich interpretace s využitím statistického 
systému R’  (in English ‘Biostatistics for physicians – principles of basic 
methods and interpretation of results using the R statistical system’). 
Let me ask you two questions:

Autor představuje matematickou statistiku a její možnosti jako nástroje 
medicíny založené na důkazu. Text je soustředěn především na popis principů 
statistického uvažování a interpretaci výsledků. Věnuje se i ukázkám 
provedení analýz a chybné interpretace výsledků. Dále seznamuje i s 
možnostmi využití statistického programu R, který je volně dostupný a nabízí
použití libovolných statistických nástrojů. Kniha překonává vzdálenost mezi 
medicínou a matematikou a hledá společný jazyk, který poskytne medicíně 
objektivní nástroje k hodnocení biologických dat.

Annotation (in English):
The author presents mathematical statistics and its potential as a tool in 
evidence-based medicine. He focuses primarily on the statistical principles 
and considerations as well as interpretation of results. Some illustrative 
examples are given of the errors in analyses and of results. Furthermore, 
the reader is familiarized with the usability of the R statistical program, 
free and available for anyone to use, offers multiple statistical tools.  
This book overcomes the distance between medicine and mathematics in an 
attempt to find a common language that will provide the medical community 
with objective tools for the assessment of biological data.
