[R] Self-developed package -- installation

If the R versions are the same, this should work.  If the versions are 
different, it may not be.  This means that you'll be in trouble if you 
ever decide to upgrade R, even if you're not in trouble now. Remember 
the two laws of computing:

1. Back it up.
2. Do it now.
