On only one OS, and none was stated. For Windows, see
http://cran.r-project.org/bin/windows/base/rw-FAQ.html#Can-I-run-R-from-a-CD-or-USB-drive_003f
.
On all other OSes, the R script contains an absolute path which needs
editing. Similarly, R.app contains an absolute path to the R framework.
