You don't do that with a for loop.
You can do it like this, assuming your dataset is a data.frame and is named "dat"
dat["R"] <- dat["A"] + dat["B"]*dat["C"]
dat[,"R"] <- dat[,"A"] + dat[,"B"]*dat[,"C"]
