[R] a very simple question

As to the reasons, David as given you the necessary hints.

In order to get around the issue, here is what I do:

> a <- round( 0.1 * ( 1:9 ), 1 )
> a
[1] 0.1 0.2 0.3 0.4 0.5 0.6 0.7 0.8 0.9
> which( a == 0.3 )
[1] 3
