[R] R connect to Informix Database

If you can't get an answer here it may be worth posting to the R-SIG-DB list in 24 hours or so. (special interest group for databases)

Data bases are not an area I know at all, but I think RODBC attempts to work with a universal database standard so that might be worth exploring. But like I said: just spitballing.
