Take a look at the NADA package. For left-censored data you can use cenmle
with dist = 'lognormal'. Survival analyses work well for right-censored data
as well as interval-censored data.
Dennis Helsel's second edition, "Statistics for Censored Environmental Data
Unsing Minitab and R" is the basis for NADA and a valuable resource.
