Note that you can render these in LaTex as \`{e}, \`{u}, \'{e},
and \`{o}, respectively.

There may be a ``more direct'' way of creating accented letters
by changing encoding (or something like that) --- I wouldn't know.
Others may have suggestions.  But the foregoing will solve your
problem (at the expense of a few extra key strokes).
