[R] line graph question

    Many characteristics of plots are determined by the graphical
parameters documented in the help file for the par function.
In this case, the xaxp parameter should be useful.  Compare

plot(1:12,1:12)

with

plot(1:12,1:12,xaxp=c(0,12,12))
