[R] Help with tryCatch

I tried the following:

zest[i] <- tryCatch(sapply(getNodeSet(zdoc, "//zestimate/amount"),
xmlValue), error=function() NA)

Here's what happens :

Error in zest[i] <- tryCatch(sapply(getNodeSet(zdoc, "//zestimate/amount"), 
: 
  replacement has length zero
