No, you can't do that.  There are a couple of ways to do what you want. 
  Probably the easiest is to do what Sweave would do:

Age<- 5
@

\begin{Schunk}
\begin{Sinput}
 > x<- \Sexpr{Age}
\end{Sinput}
\end{Schunk}
