[R] no font could be found for family "Arial"

Please do read the posting guide: what OS, what version of R, what
graphics device ....
At a guess this was Mac OS X (and this was the wrong list) and you
need to repair your Mac OS fonts. There are threads on R-sig-mac about
that every couple of months, including this month.
