The Negate() function was introduced in base R version 2.7.0, which was released about two years ago. Sounds like your server is running an older version of R.

Check the banner that displays when you run R on the server to see what version you are running. If it is older than 2.7.0, you will need to upgrade the version of R on your server or perhaps have your SysAdmin do it, if you don't have access rights to do so.
