Not really what you were thinking of, I guess, but don’t overlook the ‘demo’ 
function. For example, try ‘demo(graphics)’.

Type ‘demo()’ for a list of demos, but note that more become available when 
you load new packages (try the ‘rgl’, ‘lattice’ and ‘animation’ packages for 
some nice graphical demos).
