in my understanding of the sentence
"The logical operators are <, <=, >, >=, == for exact equality and != for
inequality ........"
the phrase "exact equality" refers to the operator "==", i. e. to the last
element "==" in the enumeration (<, <=, >, >=, ==), and not to its first.
