No catch: as.glp_bounds() is buried in namespace:Rglpk.
Your modified function is presumably in the global
environment. This should work:
Let's say your modified function is myfun().
After you source myfun, set its environment with
environment(myfun) <- environment(Rglpk_solve_LP)
