You should have

             draw.key(list(
                           rectangles=list(col=rainbow(6)),
                           text=list(lab='DN')),
                      draw = TRUE,
                      vp = viewport(x = unit(0.5, "npc"), y = unit(0.5, "npc")))

whereas you had

             draw.key(list(
                           rectangles=list(col=rainbow(6)),
                           text=list(lab='DN'),
                           draw = TRUE,
                           vp = viewport(x = unit(0.5, "npc"), y =
unit(0.5, "npc"))))
