[R] image function with date-time on X axis

zlevs and ylevs are similar, that was not the problem
Following your suggestion I now use
> image(tax, ylevs, Rmat, xaxt = "n")
> axis.POSIXct(1, at = seq(tax[1],tax[length(tax)],by="1 day"),format="%d-%m")
Which does what I wanted to do
I still get the warning message, but otherwise this works.
