[R] plotting a chisquare

Dear R-users,
I have a problem in making a chi-square density function curve.
I have sth like curve(dchisq(x, df))
from help, x is vector of quantiles, df is the degree of freedom.
I do not understand what vector of quantiles is, what do I need to put in?
