[R] What has happened to the R-Help Google Groups Archive? Alternative?

gmane.org has an archive at 
http://dir.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lang.r.general, but I don't know if it 
is similar enough for you.  You might want to contact Google to ask what 
terms of service were violated.
