[R] Categorizing Lines

Do you just want to assign an identifier to each line, that is call the first 33 lines are speciman A the next are speciman b etc?

Assuming the data set is in a data.frame called xx try something like this

group <- rep(1:33, each=79)
data.frame (group,xx)
