[R] Select only cases with negative values

Thanks for the response. However, ...

Error in dat[dat$d < 0, ] : incorrect number of dimensions
In addition: Warning message:
$ operator is deprecated for atomic vectors, returning NULL in: dat$d

Any other ideas?
