[R] R language : Error catching

Hello fellows,

I was wondering : is there a way to catch errors in R language built
programmes like C++ or Visual Basic would do (ex : on error go to ....) ? So
far i am using batteries of "if ... else" in my algorithms but it would be a
lot easier to catch errors on the whole.
