I've never used RKWard, but installing R and its packages from source
is incredibly easy even for someone with my limited abilities.  My
first guess would be that R has changed so much since R-2.5.1 that
your package is incompatible with it.  Upgrade to a much newer version
or R first, and it might all work from there.
