[R] building Matrix on Ubuntu intrepid

  For what it's worth, I found I had to

sudo apt-get install libatlas-base-dev

in order to get "libf77blas.so" installed on
my system.  (Everything had been fine under
Hardy.)  Is there a new dependency?
