[R] Matching Problem

Here is one way of doing it:

> x <- gsub("^(.*\\(|)([^^)]*|.*).*", "\\2", MyData)
> x
[1] "Test1"       "Test2"       "Test1"       "Test2"       "Test1.Test2"
> unique(x)
[1] "Test1"       "Test2"       "Test1.Test2"
