[R] xyplot: different scales accross rows, same scales within rows

xlim= can take a list:
# CO2 is built into R
library(lattice)
xlim <- rep(list(c(0, 1000), c(0, 2000)), each = 2)
xyplot(uptake ~ conc | Type * Treatment, data = CO2,
scales = list(relation = "free"), xlim = xlim)
