Please, you have shown no context here at all: your readers have no idea 
what 'exactly the same problem' is nor whom you are replying to, and this 
thread is not recent.

The current version of the MySQL ODBC driver _is_ 3.51, far from
being the 'early version'. MySQL Connector/ODBC 5.0 is still a beta.
