[R] rgl install on rhel4 x86_64

I don't think I can help much: I know very little about configure et
al. A few suggestions:
- look in config.log to see a few more details
- run autoconf on your system to build a new configure script from the
configure.ac input.
- ask Redhat for help
- try previous versions of the configure script (available from the
svn server; see rgl.neoscientists.org for details). There have been a
lot of changes to it lately to try to get it to work on systems I have
access to; unfortunately yours isn't one of them. Perhaps a previous
iteration would have worked for you. If you can figure out what's
wrong, please let me know, and if it doesn't break other systems, it
might make it into 0.72.
