qqmath(~height | voice.part, singer, par.settings = list(axis.line =
list(lwd = 3)))

(or probably closer to what you want)

qqmath(~height | voice.part, singer, par.settings = list(axis.line =
list(lwd = 3)),
       scales = list(lwd = 1))
