Thank you all. One more question about the syntax below: min(y) twice, is it?

polygon(c(min(x), x, max(x)), c(min(y), y, min(y)),  col = "blue")

polygon( c(min(x), x, max(x)), c( min(y), y, min(y)), density=100 )
