# first map
map(#arguments#)
xylim = par("usr")

# second map
out = map(#arguments#, plot=FALSE)
par(xaxs="i",yaxs="i")
plot.window(xlim=xylim[1:2],ylim=xylim[3:4])
polygon(out)
