[R] Reading from Google Spreadsheet

Has anyone been able to read a Google Spreadsheet into R?
RODBC permits reading from a Microsoft Excel (.xls) file.
Copying to the clipboard also works. However that is a nuisance unless
one one does it a few times. For ongoing repeated analysis on a
collaborative spreadsheet that changes a few times a month it would be
best if I could just have R read it.
