[R] problem about using list element in for cycle

Your problem is that you are using cat() on a factor. Use
as.character() or format() to convert the factor to character data,
which cat will then print in the way you want.
> x <- data.frame(L=letters[1:3])
> x
L
1 a
2 b
3 c
> x$L
[1] a b c
Levels: a b c
> cat(x$L, "\n")
1 2 3
> cat(as.character(x$L), "\n")
a b c
> cat(format(x$L), "\n")
a b c
