Perfect.  That makes formating output for the list more pleasant, too:

 > getOption("width")
[1] 80

Here's a way to nicely display the options (modified from the help):

str(options())

Thanks, Chuck.  BTW, how did you know about options()?  I couldn't  
find any mention that width would be part of options() in the FAQ or  
manual.  A help.search("width") didn't bring up options(), either.
