[R] Windows metafile problem

The following:

win.metafile("c:/test.emf")
plot(rnorm(10))
dev.off()

works for me to create the enhanced windows metafile, which I can then 
insert into MS-Word.  How are you creating the metafile in R?  What is 
the error that MS-Word gives?
