[R] BLAS or ATLAS?

Fedora Core 3
I installed the Intel MLk,
and tried : --with-blas="-lmkl -lguide -lpthread"
and got : External libraries: readline, BLAS(generic)
thus I'm assuming I'm missing something when telling config where to
look for the recently installed Intel BLAS?
