[R] Installing R 1.9.0 on OSX

Oops...the error was my own.

I had been typing
sudo ln -s /Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Resources/bin/R usr/local/bin/R

instead of

sudo ln -s /Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Resources/bin/R /usr/local/bin/R

which makes all the difference in the world.
