AFAIK, R uses native FORTRAN l(a,in)pack codes :)  Try it, I guess you'll
be able to call their functions, this way:
  void dposl_(double*, int*, int*, double*); //for `dposl' Fortran function

Note underscore `_' under function name! ;)
