[R] readline or not .. {was "Parallel Functions on AIX"}

well, all ESS users work without readline,
and I think we would find life w/o ESS much more trying...

In other words, using ESS (Emacs Speaks Statistics) gives is you
everything and much more than readline {but it does give some of
it somewhat differently!}
