Yes it is. Example from my program:
workdir <- "S:\\Stat\\C03202\\R-output\\"
...
sink(file=paste(workdir, assayname, "-1.txt", sep=""))
...
win.metafile(filename = paste(workdir, assayname, "-2%02d.wmf", sep=""))
You get the idea!
