[R] ?for

[Angel]

Windows 98 with R 1.7.1: ? paste("help") opens help for help in my machine.
In my linux debian with R 1.8.1 beta it opens the help for paste.
I am even more puzzled now!, is this system dependent or R-version
dependent?
