Hello Jesper,
My mistake. I should have replaced the call to dbGetConnection(res)
with as(res, "MySQLConnection"). Thus, the easiest workaround is
for you to define the following trivial function
dbGetConnection <- function(res) as(res, "MySQLConnection")
and re-run your example.
