[R] proxy connection

Hello again,
It seems I did damage my system -- I re-insalled R and installed it again but I
get the following msg when exiting R.
Application error:
The instructions at "0x005691da" referenced memory at "0x0000118"
The memory could not be written.
Any help on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated!
